Great, you nailed the bottom in Gold. But why weren't your paid RWR readers told to buy at that time? If it was to avoid the first leg up (and subsequent reversal) then nailing the bottom is irrelevant. As a RWR member for more years than I can remember, I have your mining GTC buy orders largely unfilled and fear that I'm going to miss the next big leg up. I'm starting to feel like RWR members are being punished for not upgrading. Bruce

Hi Larry, I've been tracking your forecasting very keenly, and I'm unable to understand that if Gold, Silver, Stocks, US Dollar and Real Estate are going up then who's gonna lose the money ? From whom the funding will come to finance these upward movements in all the above assets ? Secondly, I think Donald Trump is the new President, and he's promising huge growth in the US Economy. Now if overall all assets, including the dollar and the economy, are moving up then from where is the funding going to come from ? Could you throw your wisdom on my question, Larry? Thanks

Also, what kind of fall out will there be after the election when a favorite is not elected? It seems our nation is deeply polarized in recent years on major issues like national security, healthcare, immigration and international trade. All have significant affect on our economic stability on the short term and the long term for all ages. You have forecast a Dow over 30,000 but you are saying that you are cautious short and intermediate term on US stocks. You have been clear on your bullish forecast on precious metals but you are not buying yet and you think bonds are going to collapse with the sovereign wealth crisis. With all of your cycle models pointing down, what would be your recommended asset allocation? I agree that US dollars should be attractive and possibly precious metals but I'm not sure about Asia as you have recommended if we are going into a shift in Europe and Japan.

This time eight years ago the economy was at the beginning of a freefall. This triggered the vast bull market in commodities. This time the shocking news has to do with alleged lies and alleged groping, immigration, women's issues etc. Not enough to bring down markets, but enough to make them jumpy. You predict a big bull market move in the metals. Yes, a lot of scary stuff such as Europe, but nothing big looming in the US. If Trump wins no telling what sort of trouble he can get us in to. Hillary understands how all the systems works and can better understand how to deal with problems. I don't think Trump will be elected, so feel any big trouble will be headed off. Do you see some big unexpected shock that will trigger the metals into a bull market?

For the region, the manufacturing PMI rose to a 30-month high of 53.3, which exceeded estimates of 52.6. Germany's reading was a standout (as usual) amongst the countries in the bloc, having posted at 55.1 and marking a 33-month high. France also showed encouraging signs, with their strongest reading in 10 months of 51.3." Also, DB presented a pretty strong earnings uptick. So, what's really happening in Europe? You mentioned to us not to worry for now, but hopefully things in our end of control would change by mid 2017 because you felt we'd need full access to all our monies to be safe. If Trump wins I expect the equity markets to catapult downward for several days, and gold/precious metals to surge. The markets may take months to recover based on Trump's ability to manage and convince the masses that his policies are working. Do you concur with this scenario of events?

Hi Larry! Your study of cycles is impressive, but you need to know what induces and controls these cycles, and especially the major cycles like the Kondratieff Economic Long Wave that is induced every 54 years (6 times the basic cyclic number 9 of endings) whenever the spiritual planet, Neptune transits a zodiacal earth sign (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn). However, when Neptune transits a water sign (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces), there is a major war, and right now (until 2025) Neptune is activating the spiritual influence of Pisces that indicates this WWIII is being manifested via religious fanaticism. (Note: I validated the global effects of planetary influences/astrology and numerological factors/numerology in my 2008 book, Universal Numbers and the Number 9 Destiny of Humankind (Amazon) that allowed me to predict the 2008 "financial catastrophe" within 17 days!)

What hope is there if candidates will not answer questions on an issue supported unanimously by the Republican National Committee? (2) Gold usually has a negative correlation to the S & P 500, but it has had a strong positive correlation to the S & P. What has to happen? Does the correlation have to turn negative for gold to take off? Is this not really a relevant statistic?

If we invest in assets, precious metals, etc., or other things, will it be allowed by the authorities? Will ISA savings remain our own. Young 69 yr old fortunate enough to have great income prior to first gold run. Time and access to large coin shop, hanging behing the counter, when flatware was bringing premium, everyone selling everything for scrap price+ tiny premium. Jewelry bring scrap + few dollars a point for diamonds. Trading stock mkt when dow was 900, local brokers, small branches first got involved in futures, gold ad silver. I mean not even informing you what "limit down, limit up" were about churning accounts. Got caught long when Bunker hunt fiasco, hit 'can't get out, limit down" think it was 5-6 straight days. Seems silver was 1,000 oz contracts. Huge mess{ Point is involved 90's, financial report, moving swills annutites, about time euro came together, selling MS 63 20 libs for 6-800 as remember. You about as good as I've seen, but real question is Trump or HIllary what happens to spot gold and silver? NGC graded doesn't have the allure to me it had then, seems simple bullion, smaller denomination, even with premium most usable. Can't be shaving small or large bars to get .25-.50 of a bar unless carrying scale with you. (lol) My theories simple, common sense approach! Yours the more sophisticated, alluring, subscriber sales income approach. Involved, love small stripper well monthly income when operated properly. have a home for some growth money, acquisitions of shut ins while per bbl price in this range made some acquisitions possible. Ideas, participation, not general limited, actual equity owned at court house. Gold, Silver, Oil! Income monthly from oil see price dip here, then big pop next two years back into stratosphere. Metals for when IMF becomes central bank, the "new world currency" I used to laugh at "old timers" mention in 70's now a reality. Contribute to your cause, contribute to yours? IF I KNEW yours a paper income approach really backed by hard metals? Regards Steven Cook

Hi Larry, Saw your forecasts earlier this month, and am curious how you see political and social unrest affecting the strength of the US dollar relative to the currencies of the first 3 countries whose currencies and economies you predicted would fall in your special. Iirc, they were Germany, Japan, and Italia, though you're more than welcome to guide the question in a different direction should the response warrant as much. Thank you, I've deeply enjoyed following your thoughts through time. Haven.

Hi Larry; 1) Is there merit in buying rental property in US at this time? 2)Even if the property is in another state? For example, one lives in WA state but is looking at rental properties in Florida? 3) If yes, what parts of US in your view still may offer good investments in this vein. 4) And what annual rate of return on US property would you forecast in US? A?d for how long? Would real estate come crashing down after the targeted 2020-2021 fro example?

Hi Larry: What happens to real estate, and by that I mean the lower end and the middle of the road homes - the ones where the majority of people live, either by rent or ownership. I see a lot of up and down in home prices and rents, every body needs a place to live, what happens to the masses. Thanks, Laurie

Dear Larry, I wanted to take you up on your offer to join Supercycle Trader but even your best offer was too much for me to commit to at this time. My husband passed away a few months ago in Hospice House. We couldn't get insurance on him since he was diagnosed with alzheimers. So my only income is the few stocks I own and my little Social Security check. As you can see I need a miracle. I have my condo up for sale so I can use those funds to live on once the condo sells. I've been with Weiss publications for about 20 + years. My plan was to make enough money in stocks to be self sufficient. Your Real Wealth Report newsletters give me hope for my future. Question: Is there any way I can pay for the first two years in 2 or 3 installments? I know your deadline has run out on your generous offer but I was too proud to call your customer service people and explain my situation. Thank you for your patience in reading my long.... e-mail. Please let me know what you think about my request.

A bullying, bigoted, billionaire businessman with no political experience of any kind and with an enormous ego and vanity that is expanding faster than the Universe, ishugly unfit to lead this nation. And yet, millions of voters are attracted to him because they are so turned off by "politics as usual" in Washington and the polarizing Congress, where statesmanship and reaching across the aisle seems to be as dead as the Dodo Bird. How did we ever let it come to this sad state?

1) In regards to investments that will do well, longs, and those that will do poorly, or short potentials, what do you think will be the thematic difference between the two Canidates and where will there be overlap? (eg., defense, medical, banks, etc.). Say 2017 and maybe 2018, until the US turns down. 2) Come a depression, or a strong recession, where should we be preparing ourselves mentally to be ready to invest in? As an example, I believe Dollar Store type businesses did really well in 2008 and later. Staples also. Banks, not so much. (If my examples are not correct, the basic question still remains.)

Larry your ok in the book that I'm writing .Being a speed reader I cover a vast amount of material. good bad and evil. Every one that writes is an expert. I'm not a subscriber to any news letters, my last one was to Jim Blanchard and before that in the late 60s to a man called B. Smith on silver. I'm sure he knew more about silver than the great expert Butler , in my book anyway. W O W that was a mouth full. Anyway my question is , if the dollar from 1913-1914 in purchasing power is down to less than 1.5 cents and it goes to zero . ? one what good is all those investments that the experts are talking about. ? two who will get paid and with what ? ? three we all know that there is not enough Gold to back any new money, unless the Gov, steals it again ? we all know that the gov. is broke and there is no gold in the hands of gov. Gold backed money is out . No matter what price they come up with. It will be paper gold , fiat gold like our money is now. ? four do you think there will be a one world money, controlled by one world gov. or what ? your feedback on that one. When the SHTF , silver will be King, junk silver will be used to purchased what ever is needed to keep life going. ? five what do you think will happen to mining stocks ? The stock markets crashing will it wipe out the mining stocks also. Larry I have several more ? But I will wait. I'm sure you can answer all of the above. Thank you . silverbill::

Dear Larry I'm in Danish Kroner - a currency pegged to the Euro. What the Euro does, the Danish Krone will do too. That peg won't last, however and .all the fine advice about what to do when you operate in Euros are no longer of any use. Will Denmark go the Greek way and drown in debt? Will the Krone go Swiss and rise too high for it's own good? Well, I realise that such detailed questions probably will regarded as costumers content and I'm only a newsletter subscriber. So in a more generalised term: What about the pegs? Many countries have a peg. Dollar peg. Euro peg. What variations of crisis and occurrences should we expect to see? Thank you for doing what you do, Larry. :-)

Question: Regarding "open market orders", if I follow a recommendation to purchase so many shares at price $xx.xx, open until filled. Is there a risk of a broker making multiple purchases until the order is fulfilled? You know, say you want a hundred shares (100), at $xx.xx, and each trade costs you $15 to execute. Is it possible that a broker would buy 10 shares at a time so that it take 10 purchases with fees summing to $150.00, instead of $15. Now if this is a stupid question, pardon me. If that is the case point me to some literature, where I can learn the vernacular of investors. I am not an investor, I am a saver with considerable savings, but with zero investing experience. I am getting interested in investing, just not convinced, I would be any good at it.

Everybody should know by now that Hilary Clinton is the elites (globalists) choice for President because she would protect the International Bankers crony capitalism while Donald Trump scares the crap out of the establishment. As a Canadian I have no direct dog in this dirty fight but I believe the outcome will affect the whole world no matter who wins. My question is, how can Donald Trump possibly bring about the changes needed to "Make America Great Again" unless there is a thorough house cleaning in Washington itself? In other words, with the entrenched bureaucrazy (emphasis on the Z) and key elements of his own party not supporting him, how could he get any controversial legislation through Congress? I am in no way suggesting Clinton would be a better choice, far from it, but I am also not convinced Trump can do what he promises, at least without driving the Federal debt up more than what O,bumber did, which was itself unprecedented. What a "Hobson's choice" this election is!

Reply

Richard Mondale October 31, 2016

My answers to our problems are: (Please note items 4 and 5) 1 Spending is not a Congressional Power, according to Jefferson in his letter to Madison (June 1789) We took the power to declare war from the Executive and gave it to the Congress, "from those that can spend, to those who can pay." Congress can Raise Revenues so they have money with which to pay for things. The president is supposed to buy what he needs to follow orders. (Action: reestablish the proper division of power between Congress and President.) 2 Jobs and trade is strongly suppressed by our Income Tax. It is a cost and appears in the bottom line price of our export products. Our competitors use Value Added Tax. It is added at the point of sale, thus Mexico adds 15% to our products, but their products come into this country tax free. Same in Europe, China, India, and Australia. Everyone uses VAT tax because it beat us so badly. (Action: modify the 16th Amendment. Take out "tax on Income from what ever source" and put in, "tax on the free circulation of wealth". 3 Regulation is the despotic enforcement of arbitrary laws. The Citizen is the Sovereign. The Government is his servant, so how does Government become preeminent? Regulations should be recommendations. Harmful outcomes should be controlling. I recommend the police should become the Grand Jury envisioned by the Founders. Their job should be to bring in harmful SOBs to talk to the judge. (Action: define law enforcement as, "correcting injury" or "helping the victim") 4 Have you ever noticed that when we vote minorities always lose. Voting is a great way to make a decision, but securing representation is not a decision making process. The Founders thought so , but it is not. It is a choice, like selecting clothing. This needs to be fixed. It is a big problem. It has given rise to our corruption laden government. It created you politicians. You all have two needs, to be popular and to be well funded. Both of these needs can be satisfied by bringing home booty. Thus Congress needs to direct spending through the appropriations process even though to appropriate means to seize and reserve for a purpose, not put out. (This is the cause of the $20 Trillion dollar deficit. The founders knew that 534 people can not work together and balance a budget.) 5 How to do that? I say, "The Citizen should describe himself to the Government by choosing to assign his vote, to a qualified group or organization that will do the work of Congress, in each of the following areas: Internal Thought (What do you know that is true) External Efforts (What is your trade or business) Extended Associations (Who are your people) and What are your NEEDs. This last one will incorporate all local governments and regulatory bodies. This list will allow every entity to be represented in contrast to the geographically oriented human centric system we use now. It will absorb all of K Street and Capitol Hill as well as everyone else. It will be securely decentralized online so DC will no longer be a nuclear target. (This is the only new amendment needed. It is a complete rewrite of Article One. It takes care of Term Limits, fiscal irresponsibility, and the over reach of power, because all three of these have grown out of the supposed sanctity of "VOTING" This must be exposed as the root of all of our problems.) Finally let me reassure you about the 'power people' who do not want to lose their franchise. None of what I have outlined here should affect them adversely. The Government will still need suppliers, it will still hire experts, and none of the systems will change suddenly. What I have listed are rule changes that will let us grow out of this hole, so the Golden Goose doesn't die. It is all just house keeping stuff. It is: correct the Founders original mistake about voting to secure representation, give the police and lawyers the task of helping the injured instead of enforcing rules, and then return to the original structure specified in Article One; Sec 7.

Hi Larry, You are predicting a huge stock market rally, or at least you have been... Are you still in that camp? Can you shed any light on why Harry Dent is predicting 700.00 gold? At that price the miners are sunk because their costs are higher than that. With the new law allowing the 1.6 million Muslims now to possibly purchase Gold that certainly has to make the price increase? I have a self directed IRA that would have allowed me to have home storage of physical metals. problem is that we are moving out of the country next year and the country we are going to (Belize) prohibits the home storage of metals. If I were to bring gold in in the form of collectible coins then I am subject to a 16% tax, Do you think the ETF's like PHYS and OUNZ are safer than most ways to hold non physical metals or do you just put all funds in the same category? Thanks, Frank

Platinum has been below gold prices for a while now, but normally tends to be valued a couple hundred dollars/oz more. Since it's used similarly to silver, is it a good time to buy platinum instead of gold for the long term while it's at a discount to gold (hoping that the economies will again demand platinum at some point)? It should avoid the confiscation question of gold as well. Thoughts? Thanks

Larry, joining your "Election" and "survive " here is what we voters are authenticating: In the world today there are 15,375 nuclear weapons in nine countries. 6,970 are in the United States, 7,300 are in Russia. Approximately one third of these remain on “high alert”, ready to be fired on hair-trigger command. Each of these warheads are between 7 and 85 times more powerful than the atomic bomb that destroyed the Japanese city of Hiroshima in 1945. The President of the United States has unilateral power over the offensive deployment of nuclear weapons at the touch of a button. The Doomsday Clock currently stands at three minutes to midnight.

Do you agree that economic growth significantly depends on energy inputs? If yes and Trump is elected and does all he can to encourage US energy production, could that bring energy prices down enough to again bring about economic growth rates experienced before the oil crisis?

Larry, it's several years that I follow your advise and it provides some solid ground to walk on. Thank you so much! You describe in great details the problems regarding private debt and government debt. Also the incredible inflation (money printing) going on since about 15 years. Sooner or later we may be confronted with a monetary reform. It seams inevitable, as the amounts of debt can hardly be paid back. Can you give some color how this might work out for private people compared to the government? Will the debts just be cut by some zero's for everybody, or will there be some other scenarios you could see? Thank you in advance if you see a possibility to answer my question. Best regards Dieter P.S.: The critical point I could see this happening is, when Asia can no longer deliver goods and services so cheap and in the same time pick up a huge amount of treasury bonds.

I understand from your writings that the US dollar is going to remain strong in the face of other fiat currency's, until the crest of the "K wave". Is this correct? 2or 3 weeks before Benghazi happened, Hillary, requested $250,000.00 from Congress to beef up security and John Boehner denied her request saying she did not need more security for that embassy so I guess it truly was Not her fault that an Ambassador was killed in Benghazi. WHo blamed her first to take the actual and true blame for what happened there? Congress blamed her instead of accepting the responsibility for denying her request for more armed Embassy guards. The people who blame everyone else first are the ones who are always at fault. That is a matter of public record through the Congressional nonpartisan Business Office they also show graphs of who actually spent more money Bush or Obama but don't just listen to me, go there and read all about everything and who is actually responsible for what.

He gets $770 disability in two checks to live on a month. His health insurance is supposed to be mandatory. He is now living in his car in CO and is terminally ill and cannot live with our family in another state because he needs medical cannabis to survive, which he will not be able to afford either mow. SS stated they could not say if it was cut from others checks or not, but said to thank Obama. Sure seems like dooms day today if this is happening all over the country.

You can deduct interest, taxes on a second home. If you rent it long-term, you have all the tax treatment of rentals (depr., maint, repair, etc.) If you rent it part-time for vacationers & vacation in it part-time, those expenses get prorated for rental usage. See IRS publications and check with a CPA for details. We did this for 17 yrs w. no problem. As for being wise: Estimate costs, incl. management since you won't be there to do it. Using info on other's experience in the area/type home you anticipate, project revenues. Look at the result to see if you're happy with the return (if there is one.) I'd factor-in Hurricane insurance and lost rental from storms. If not a rental, you are speculating in real estate in a market far from the one you know/live in. Final thought: tax losses on a rental are capped, with disallowed amounts rolled into future years. That could shelter some income even after you sell the place or quit renting it. Again, talk to an expert.

The problem with dropping out of the gold stocks is your currency will then be in jeopardy of complete devaluation, if it is in US dollars. So you won't have anything of value to buy back into market, when the prices drop. The gold stocks are probably not the best value either. You know the saying, Good old cold hard cash in hand is the best value. It may get devalued in a crash, but it will be worth a whole lot more than the paper your stocks are printed on.

I started investing only in precious metals (Au, Ag, Pt, and Pd) in about Xmas 1975. My 1st purchase was $ 5,500 dollars into Van Eck Mining Fund which had a 10% front end load. The salesman's pitch was, "Well, if you don't invest now you'll lose it all anyway!" That was 2 wks before Jan. 1, 1976. However, dividend re-investment was involved. By about 1978, July, I confessed just how ignorant I was. That $ 5,500 dollars immediately lost $500 dollars, approx. due to the front end load. The remaining $ 5000 dollars had lost its total value to approximately $ 2, 200 dollars due to the continued loss in share value. The only redeeming thing done in my favor was the dividend re-investments occurring each quarter; however, I confessed to my Dad about my first investment fiasco in which I had within 2&1/2 years already lost down from $ 5,500 to $ 2,200 dollars. All in all a loss of at least 60% in only 2&1/2 years. However, I joked,"at least I did get that damned big mouthed salesman out of my damned living room". Consequently, I told my accountant to get that damned Gold Mining Stock out of the Retirement Trust since that cost would be only $200 dollars. After about 9 months I started inquiring about the status of that retirement investment's being transferred into my personnel account as opposed to the Trust Acc't. He had accomplished nothing! Lincoln Trust In Denver was holding all that was left but it remained stuck in that Trust since the accountant had done nothing. That angered me tremendously; consequently, I told George, "Damn George, forget that investment in the Lincoln Retirement Trust Account, I'll just do it myself!" Soon as I had enough time (a couple of months later) I finally finished a letter demanding its transferr into my personal account, advising that I'll pay the fine for early withdrawal, and I did! However, by then, the value had shot up to about $ 10,000 from the original $ 5,500. It cost me not $200 but $1000 dollars to complete my original intent. To make a long story short, within but a few months that stock had risen to over $ 55,000 dollars in value at which time I sold it! Over the interim I saw that gold had risen quite a lot, that was August 1979. Even though just as stupid as in the very beginning, I had some excess money in my checking account; never having a single course in business, nor investing, nor in accounting been taken in obtaining a B.S. degree, I couldn't have known less than I did. But, I simply assumed from recent price followings that Platinum and Gold had finally settled back like they were before the upward run in prices had rapidly begun, so I guessed,"surely Ag will follow suite. So, I took all excess cash out of my checking account and bought silver in one of the only two banks that I realized sold silver bullion in OKC. Took the wonderful old man who oversaw bullion trading for Liberty Nat. Bank and the wise old man told me I'd have to wait approx. 2 weeks before he'd receive it and he acknowledged that he'd call me as soon as it came in. On that day he called me, a friend of mine (classmate from college)was running his Dad's bank; he went with me in my little White Stingray downtown to pick it up. On the way down there, Richard asked me how many ounces of silver would it be? I told him, "Well, I don't know; figure it out!" However, even that was difficult since we didn't know to use 12 oz or 16 oz to decipher the total weight. Well, hell, since 16oz always I used to determine weights of heavy objects that needed being carried, we use that as a barometer before we arrived at the downtown bank. And, I was glad he was with me since 3 big bags of sealed linen bags had to be carried back to the little vette and then transferred to another closer bank nearer my house. I sold almost half of those coins (one oz .999 Ag) on about Jan. 22, 1980 for over $20,000 dollars. I had paid only $7,000 dollars for the entire forty some oz. in Aug but sold, at my price ($50.00/oz) almost $20,000 dollars and still had almost that much left to sell. on Dec. 3, 1979 I had earned another $7,000 dollars excess in my checking account. I bought as much Ag as it would buy at that point in time. In only three weeks, I sold all of that Ag for approximately a 60% profit which I needed to buy some R.R. land that was up for sell that encroached upon some property that Dad had given me. And, that paid off the price of those 14 acres without any difficulty what-so-ever. Since I worked long hours five days a week, I had no time to sign the paperwork in order to buy a contract of a metal of my choice. I had not even an account in that investment firm earlier in the week. It was Thursday before I could find enough time to even travel downtown to justify a contrqct purchase. Friday, first thing, Rolla (broker/salesman) at that firm had the necessary $5,000 dollars in my account ( a rule) and advised me via phone that he did purchase a Pt contract. I did not even know about expiration dates, and only vaguely about the fact it was a 50 oz obligation to take delivery upon contract expiration. It was Saturday before I looked up in Baron's what I needed to know. And, although the Pt., Ag, and Au prices were still holding on, they had slowed to a crawl by then. Since my accountant was a personal friend to the broker, I called my accountant to get Rolla's home phone number. In the early part of the afternoon on that Sat. I called Rolla and told him, " Rolla, I want you to sell that Pt. contract on Monday morning, regardless of price, period". On Monday morning, the price was maximum higher but began to recede by evening to a significantly lower price. Also, sold as much Ag as I could at my price ( $50/oz) . Mr. Mathis sold all he could at that price which was great! I even sold all my Au coins which were in another bank on that same day as well. That was my first foray into metals trading soon after graduating W.U. in St.Louis, MO in the health field with a doctorate. Wow! Talk about flying by the seat of one's britches, that I did do. And, many, many times moreover during the subsequent ever continuing decades of life. I recall never to have even lost a penny on precious metals even though I recall in the late eighties to have gone searching for .9999 fine Pd. coins which were not in the Isle of Mann as I expected but in Russia as 1989 one oz Pd. coins. Had I not purchased Pd, I will have lost money on any precious metal that I'd bought had they been anything other than Pd. over the subsequent slightly over 5 year following period. BIZZARD IS IT NOT! NOW YOU UNDERSTAND WHY I ALWAYS CREDIT MY WONDERFUL GUARDIAN ANGEL FOR WHOM i'VE ALWAYS GIVEN CREDIT TO FOR MANY OF MY SUCCESSFUL ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN COLLEGE AT THE ACADEMIA LEVELS OF STUDY UNTIL AT LEAST A DOCTORATE WAS OBTAINED. GUARDIAN ANGELS SURELY DO EXIST! BEING SO SUCCESSFUL IN SOMETHING FOR WHICH I WAS SO TERRIBLY IGNORANT COULD NEVER HAVE SUCCEEDED OTHERWISE. THANK YOU ANGEL OF MINE! DICKIE

Hi Larry, The government (except Venezuela) does not just print money on the printing press. They sell treasury bonds, the money comes in from the banks, and the government spends the money. In the short term there is less money in the economy until that time when the government starts to spend. In the short term why wouldn't the price of gold go down when the government sells bonds? With either Trump or Clinton, the government has to sell bonds to raise money for government spending. Reducing taxes (Trump) means more money left in the economy but a shortfall of revenue for the government. Revenue could be "conserved" by reducing interest rates or negative interest rates or simply paying only 80% of the bonds. Well, at this point I am really undecided about the future. What is your advice on gold considering government funding and spending. Mike

Larry - I find your composite of cyclical models very interesting in predicting trends , but I always wonder about the effect of variability in the period or length of time of each component of the models . Human emotion is quite unpredictable at times . I have created math models of physical systems which are very accurate because the response data is as precise as the measurement techniques and the control of variables . Humanity is a wild card which is capricious . My question is : how much fuzziness is there in your models , time-wise ? Days ? Weeks ? Months ?

Miners went way down in years after 2008 crash. I have been holding and adding on dips. Now what to do, sit tight? Also I have old platinum and palladium and rare earth holdings, that are way down. What to do with those? Old oil exploration and drilling stocks also that are way down...some down 80% SO SHALL i SELL or hold the OIL losers, large cap miners, PALadium and platinum etfs, and rare earths like REE and Lynas.

In my view the current fiasco shows up a glaring inadequacy of the political system. Unless I'm mistaken, you have no means of cancelling a general election result in the USA. In the USA you have no such safety valve!

That the USA capital markets will escape the wrath that will effect other parts of the world, such as Europe (Massive European Debt Crisis), China and emerging markets (Massive Real Estate Crash, Equity Markets Crash, Commodities Market Crash) etc..etc..There is absolutely NO QUESTION that the European Sovereign Debt Crisis and the Massive Chinese Real Estate Crash make the USA Subprime/Alt A/CDS Derivatives Crisis look like mere baby play! Lord knows, God knows, there is NO WAY the USA will escape the capital market crisis that is coming on a WORLDWIDE basis and based on all the corruption, filth, crimes, committed by our so called "leaders in this country" there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY, the USA will escape the wrath. I decided to receive information about investing in the last 6 months, by registering with a number of trading groups like your own Money Market, Money Morning, Buttonwood Research, Trading Resources, and others. It seems that identifying doom days is typical for most of the groups and plans to save anybody from total destruction abound. Is it really true that things are that bad?. Apart from 2008, there hasn't been anything worth remembering about. On the other hand, It is my point of view that trading is a very awkward game to play, as there are all kind of well heeled individuals in the trading arena that are always looking to get huge gains and have the means to do so. These people are in position to know how to make trading changes for profit and protection of their assets. Also, most of us are in no position to even know where to run. Putting it into another way, how can any group help anybody if it cannot have control of the trading sessions, like these people have. In the disclaimer, all groups inform the there is no easy solution to making money with investment without getting into risky businesses. So, I sincerely hope that there something to be covered that really produces some gains. It is not expected to get huge profits as long that it doesn't falter.

I voted for Obama his first term. After two years I realized we were in for a real nightmare which was blamed on the republicans, and that he was not a good leader (good speaker only). I've listened to Hillary say 'I take full responsibility for Benghazi' (even though she said 'what difference does it make') and again for the emails and also without resignation. The country is deep in debt to now lose the dollar worldwide influence. We the people will have to bail out our poorly managed government and hurry up and die off so as not to be burdensome? Remember what happened to the savings & loan scandal witnesses, etc. etc. etc. I am so grateful to have lived through an era of American dreams but am now plagued with the status quo. When the FDA broke into Doctor's offices in Florida and removed files and about a dozen nearby doctors suddenly died or are missing within the last year, I get very worried. These doctors all had something in common...natural healing successes with cancer. Since Big Pharma and the FDA are basically one & many billions of dollars are at stake, I am concerned that corruption may be found throughout our governmental agencies with no means of review or exposure. It's not OK that those with public trust are without due process and that includes Hillary. Even my daughter said "Well, all politicians are like that." She was not raised like that, but she gets news from the media, yet another imbalanced source! Somehow political correctness overshadows corruption? Or have our expectations become truly disjointed perspectives? If our political figures are above the law then the laws are selectively enforced. Only the powerful are above the law with a sort of high level diplomatic status which includes God only knows what! Wow, not so long ago Martha Stewart served time! So in light of our in-depth corrupted country what can one expect in the future for any long range financial future especially if the outsider Trump isn't able to shake things up, and even more especially difficult with a spoonfed complacent population largely in denial, uninformed and /or disinterested? Will Americans be able to stand tall again....ever? Is this mess that keeps me awake at night, like so many others must be suffering, becoming a truly unrecoverable one?

Bernice, your only hope is Jesus. You want the truth, there it is . Read the Bible for peace of mind. This system is coming to an end. You want to know where we are headed, read Mathew 24;21,22. Don't put your trust in man any longer.

Ken November 7, 2016

I knew Hillary would win for the following reasons: 1. Despite obvious and blatant media bias against Trump, people were too stupid to realize what this meant. 2. Cowardly Christians and most investment newsletter writers were too afraid to express their preference. 3. When Hillary's Satanist and pedophile lifestyle was exposed, the polls didn't change that much The media will always get their candidate because the people have been made stupid over years of government teaching atheism (ie. evolution) over Christianity. America is over. Welcome to Ameristan.

Dear Bernice, I am afraid that we are to blame for our situation this day and age my dear...hear me out! When we started trying to make the future "better than we had it" I feel started this insane rampant behavior...It was a good idea that should have never been implemented. Who would have thought the escalation would end up in a society that feels totally entitled, says whatever they want via social media, bullies, badgers, inflects verbal abuses at the drop of a hat and suffers no consequence for any action. Laughs at sexual disgusting commercials, tries to disable fellow athletes with a football helmet, elects politicians who can't balance their checkbook, won't discipline their children in fear they might say "I hate you" much less the abuse upon them....A society who has no moral compass, no ethical behavior, no ability to stand up for what is wrong, integrity is a myth, compassion extinct, working hard and earning your keep a joke and living within your means unheard of....Well I have...without city water, woodstove for heat...no central air, furnace, dishwasher or garbage disposal and it has taken me 35 years to pay off my farmstead lock, stock and barrel. All with a broken back since I was 19, a replaced knee and psoriatic arthritis in every joint in my body since 2000. But I get up and dray my sorry aging a** to work everyday while the "needy" sit in fancy brand new SUV's having a free meal down St. Vincent's while I drive by in a 1994 model....but I am a boy scout and I will survive.......I am prepared........You have an invite to the farm stead when the preverbal sh*T hits the fan...(coming to a city near you soon, I'm afraid)...take care, good luck. Duane

Graham November 7, 2016

To Bernice, Duane, Robert, Carl; Thanks for your comments, Bernice and Duane. I heartily agree with most all of your attitudes / predictions which I know are based on years of experience and faith . . . -- it "takes one to know one" - eh, Robert and Carl - ? : ) George Washington is said to have had a revelation / inspiration from God concerning 3 big wars to take place within the US borders . . . The first being the Revolutionary War, the second the Civil war and the third . . . . . well, it hasn't started yet. Or some might say it's already begun. Consider this; plans are already underway which will utilize extreme party separation / polarization, the 0.01% owning vast percentages of the wealth and a dozen or more other factors Larry so wisely and acutely points out here, to further separate and enrage certain large sections of our population into rioting and / or whatever kind of civil unrest /disobedience might arise. (Trump, when he narrowly loses the election, has already virtually announced that he will "cry foul"; that the election was rigged. -- The suggestion being that he will encourage his followers to protest in one way or another, including violently. These events, all the while secretly planned, encouraged and fueled by the most powerful elite, will trigger greater and greater unrest within the US, finally resulting in open warfare / revolt, ultimately causing such an uproar and fear among the people, all according to the false - flag plan of the elites, that Queen Hillary will "come to the rescue" and declare martial law "in order to bring peace and harmony once again". Martial Law. A virtual dictatorship. And by the way, perfect conditions for the Satanically inspired ruling elites to seize far, far more power and influence over and among Americans than the last time such a false flag national "calamity and emergency" was secretly instigated by the ruling elites / the military industrial complex / weapons sellers; 911. Oh, by the way everyone, hold onto your gold and silver. Not sure about stocks ' ETF's; they are far more easily controlled by the elitist gov't and 0.01%, of course.

What do you think of Jim Richarts prediction of a global economic collapse Jan of 2017 which he says may precipitate the IMF stepping in with issuance of a world digital fiat currency? This new currency will be backed by a consortium of countries who are actually growing their economies and banding together to take the exclusive world reserve currency status from the USA. Sounds like the timeline is way too speedy to me.

Larry, Thanks to you and Martin, Mike, Brad, JR and others at Uncommon Wisdom and Money and Markets, I have learned more than I care to about socioeconomics, investments, politics and culture relationship. I have come to one basic conclusion that underlies these issues as well as even racism and the immigration issue encapsulated in a quote from a very wise man over 2000 years ago; "The LOVE of money is the root of ALL KINDS OF evil." Notice it doesn't say money is evil or even investments are evil or capitalism is evil. However, what we have in America (and the world) today is more aptly described as "Capitalism Run Amuck" which I would categorize with "all kinds of evil". Deutche Bank, AIG, Morgan Stanley way over leveraged with derivatives traded with DEPOSITORS' as well as investors' money caught standing when the Musical Chairs music stopped. I didn't even know what derivatives (or credit default swaps) were at the time of the Great Recession even though my retirement account was investing in options. I couldn't even understand from reading my Vanguard "options disclosure" letter what they were so I asked my bank manager what they are and he couldn't (or wouldn't) explain how they work. But now I know?? that options are nothing more than a piece of paper called a contract guaranteeing me THE RIGHT to own the underlying asset. So I don't actually own ANY of the underlying asset by exchanging my money for an option. I still don't know who, other than me, are the winners or losers on the other end of the investment but my guess is that it is the Casino house. That's right.......GAMBLING is "the LOVE of money". I hate to say it but public corporations (that trade shares of stock) are also, by virtue of design, responsible for the racial discord and violence in cities such as Detroit, Chicago, Birmingham and Baltimore. All business GROWTH is constrained somewhat by payroll expenses but public corporations, particularly in manufacturing, come to a point in their growth cycle where the choice HAS to be made between satisfying shareholders or employees, cities, states or countries and it really is no choice at all. After all other efforts such as acquisitions of emerging companies, stock buy-backs, hiring the Bain Capitals of the world to break off losing passe' entities and reorganize, the shareholders still leave in a heartbeat unless cheaper labor and/or taxes is available elsewhere. So the corporation leaves Detroit which has overinvested in infrastructure, bureaucracy and tax structure as well as hundreds of thousands of former employees, most of whom were the last ones to be made aware of the move and the least able to afford to move. The city tries to make up for the tax loss by raising taxes and borrowing from the Federal government to survive but ultimately declare bankruptcy. The former employees are stuck in the inner cities that were developed by the city for the corporations with no employment and no way to move. Then they are told by misguided activists that their misfortune was because of racism when it was actually because of "the LOVE of money". There was a term used by the disenfranchised in the 1970s, after Vietnam, that more accurately placed the blame....."The Man". "The Man" was the system.....the socioeconomic system driven by the most fortunate who had the most to lose or win.......a rigged system. Wall Street and Washington were and still are the epicenter of the system and until measures are taken to promote equal opportunity through PRIVATE enterprise small business, things will get worse. I realize national security is somewhat at stake in the current environment and wisdom like that from 2000 years ago is needed to correct out system.

I know you live in that neck of the world, as well. There has been talk for a long time now about obtaining dual citizenship. Many have sought it in Uruguay, Paraguay, some time back. My question is would you recommend obtaining one (if one's able) in Asia? Then too, my feelings, and the recent events in the Philippines is telling me that it would make sense to apply for citizenship there. With my wife being Filipina, it would be (at the moment) easier for me to do so. As well, I want to thank-you for your incredible, tireless, sincere reporting, and analysis... Given the vigorous and repetitive bullish remarks by Jim Rickards regarding the imminent collapse of the US Dollar, and his estimate that $10k/oz for gold appears likely, then adding Doug Casey's, Marin Katusa's and your own position, then the Chinese hemorrhaging foreign reserves appears to support the view that possibly the BIS usage of SDRs is the only approach to being able to manage/deal with a global break down of trade, and ultimately world wide 1930s-style DEPRESSION. Would you comment on that scenario, in the light of your own analysis please? Thank you.

Larry, socially and environmental factors are now being included in the evaluation of companies - this is going mainstream - because the Millennials will inherit $40 trillion and they are fully into it. BlackRock just launched social funds and Morningstar now not only has 1-to-5 stars for financial performance of funds but also 1-to-5 globes for social and environmental investing being factored in. I think the next major trend will be product competitors, like teams in sports leagues, reaching agreements that give priority to the common good and secondly competing. Then providing common good audits by creditable third parties, as financial audits do, so all involved can be part of the conversation of what are appropriate agreements that give priority to the common good. This is the only way, fully in the private sector, we can give priority to the common good while sustaining individual freedom and free markets. What do you think? How soon do you expect this to happen?

I understand the benefit of leverage, but in the current economic situation we are in do you believe this is prudent advice? They did have great information on other streams of income and also covered asset protection, so there was a lot of good thought in the seminar. Thanks for sharing your information. Two questions: 1) If the major powers go into economic crises, collapse, social unrest, or war, where will be a safe place to stay? The US and Russia appear to be headed into difficult times, if not outright war. NATO and the EU will get caught up in that, so neither North America, nor Europe seem like a wise choice. Meanwhile, the US and China are squaring off. And, North Korea has a hair trigger pointed our way, so Asia appears uninviting. The Middle East is unsafe and may be part of the ignition of a massive or global war. Most of Africa seems dangerous, not because of dreams of global conquest, but because of extreme corruption. That leaves Latin America, and especially South America. Those countries seem to be mostly off the radar of any imperialistic intentions and, thus, might be a good place to call home until things settle down. Would you comment on my assessment, please? 2) I am an expat pensioner, living overseas and trying to start a business to have some income that is not dependent upon Social Security and the stability of the USD before it all collapses. If the dollar devalues, what impact will it have on us retirees living overseas? Will we be struggling to survive? If so, will we be better off in a foreign country, or back at home in the US? And, will we still be welcomed, or will we find that other countries no longer want us? (We are about to qualify for permanent residency, and I'm hoping that will protect us by grandfathering us in.)

For those of us older retired couples who live primarily off of social security and what savings we have may need to be used for emergencies, how to we handle, financially, the times ahead that are coming? Do have any investment plan for just $5,000.00 ?

You are always saying that physical gold coins are portable. What about metal detectors at airports? Can this "portable" asset be taken on a commercial flight?

First I want to say I'm a fan of your cycle work. So much so that I'm a member of several of your services. In your various advertising materials you regularly boast of earning 1,000+% on individual holdings yet when not stopped out, you always recommend selling with mostly double digit gains and the occasional low triple digit gain. I try to follow your advice pretty quickly, but am I missing something? How do you square your pitch with the real results?

Hi Larry. I see gold is back below $1275 again. In the last webinar you claimed the bottom occurred back in October. I'm having some trouble believing that is the case because gold hasn't been able to break out much above $1275. Also, you haven't issued any RW flash alerts to buy more gold stocks since calling the bottom so I am wondering if you are now thinking the bottom you called in October wasn't it. Is that the case?

Do you think using our 403b to invest in gold mines. If so, are there certain ones to invest in or steer clear of? Thanks! Also, do you suggest buying silver coins or gold coins or is it best to have some of each?

What gold mines would you recommend investing in and is this a good area to invest in?

Larry, I appreciate your work and love to hear your predictions. Could you have a lower cost program for those of us who do not have a few thousand dollars to put into a subscription?
